Xmas is over...

we had a wonderful Christmas (spoiled as always) and got to spend lots of time with family which is what it is all about!! I was happy that there was no baby arrival too! I must admit, I was pretty nervous about the drive to Medicine Hat - the week before the dr told me that baby was in position and could come anywhere from 1 day to 1 month....then on the 24th I was feeling a LOT of pressure and was very uncomfortable that day, but we were so excited about seeing his family for xmas that we decided it was worth the risk. we were prepared: had my medical records, hospital bag, baby bag & the car seat. it was a good test for how much extra stuff you have to carry with a baby!

I posted pics on facebook for anyone looking for pics (sorry, but too much work to post on FB & Blogger).

now I have to get my house organized & back to normal....not quite nesting, don't get excited...just christmas cleanup! :)

Spoiled!

Monster Main & mommy are spoiled, so spoiled (but we already knew that!). Today my work had a lovely shower for me....we had my favorite cake (white cake with fresh fruit and whip cream from Amadine Bakery, mmm mmmm) and got lots of presents: sleepers, onesies, bib, sophie the giraffe, a night light for the room, a gift card for babies r us and more.... everyone was so generous: thank you all!!!

We also got babies' first piggy bank (adorable or what?!)
Classic Piggy Bank-Green

And my absolute favorite: they had a hat custom made for us:

Thank you to everyone for being so kind! I am going to miss my work buddies LOTS, but I won't lie...only 10 more work days left and I'm pretty excited about that. No alarm clock going off at 5:30 when you just fell asleep after 4am because baby was moving all night! I can wear whatever I want until the monster gets here...you know you are getting big when maternity clothes are barely fitting any more! And I don't move very fast these days so will take some time to disassemble the christmas decorations and do my nesting! :)

Only 3 more weeks of work, 6 more weeks until D-Day!

31 weeks

I can't believe that I'm already 31 weeks pregnant...the countdown is in the single digits!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaa. it's going by way too fast :) although at the same time, I am really looking forward to meeting our little monster

we picked up our stroller today - I just love it!! here's my belly with the new stroller

we also painted the baby's room this week (I will admit, I have been on a rampage trying to get ready for this baby, must be the nesting instinct). I haven't gotten a full picture of the room but here is the color with the crib bedding ... the walls are perfect. I still need to hang up pictures & finish the curtains but I'm really happy with the room. baby will love it too (OR ELSE! haha)

and Daddy is getting ready at his soon-to-be-permanent-station: the change pad! :)
The curtains aren't made yet, just some material hanging up but you get the idea on colors

Baby Main

Well, I have decided to start a new blog so that I can share Baby Main updates with our family & friends. Hope you all enjoy it!

For new readers, here is the short & sweet story:

Baby Main (sex is unknown) is due January 16th. I am now 31 weeks pregnant (and you can see belly pics in the next post). I have had a fantastic pregnancy so far and other than exhaustion, I have been really lucky that I have not been sick at all! Baby is very healthy and moves A LOT. Mom says baby moves too much but doctor says that is not possible. I have dubbed this little one "monster" because it is so active and of course thinks bed time is play time! so he/she is my little monster.

We did not find out the sex of the baby: we will find out in January I guess. But I really think it's a boy. I've thought all along that it's a boy. The chinese gender calendar says it is a girl but I took an old wives tale quiz and got 80% likely to be a boy. anyone else have guesses??!
