hi mom, I found something new to play with ...

I'm not in trouble, am I?
He wasn't....but mom learned two more lessons yesterday. lesson #1 to mom: if you let your child play with the pot downstairs, he will play with the pot upstairs - he does not know that one has dirt and one doesn't. lesson #2 to mom: if son is happily chatting away and he is not in a spot where there are toys, maybe see why he is so happy! :)

8 months and full of fun!

8 months old

I can't believe Sam is 8 months old already!! And he is more of a character every day (if that's even possible) :)

Now that he is climbing on all the furniture and starting to walk from one piece to another, I bought him a toy that he can stand and push around. He hasn't quite figured out that he needs to move his legs though so he just pushes with his arms until he falls. But it also converts to a riding toy and he loves sitting on it - and when he wants to get off, he just tips over to the side and falls off! haha

Snowsuit in September

it's been so cold this week, we had to dig out Sam's snowsuit so we could get some outdoor time. he definitely fills them out better than when we first brought him home from the hospital!

And snowsuit #2 with legs ... he looks like a giant blue marshmallow! he can't really move in it, it's pretty funny - I put him on the floor and he just lays there with his arms and legs sticking out.

Swimming Lessons

Sam had his first swimming lesson today...of course he loved it, he's such a water baby. And mom was thrilled to see that it was 100% dads & babes so now she gets a free morning once a week. :)

New games every day

I love watching Sam learn new things ... he is so curious about everything around him and loves new things. This week he started playing ball - grandma had a ball destined for garbage but Sam got to her house before she got to the garbage and now that is his favorite game and WOW does he have an arm.

We also took him to the swings at the park on the weekend and he LOVED it! huge smiles and laughs.

Weekend pics

Stuart's family came to visit for a few days and we had a fun weekend with them! (I have been down with the flu so took me a few days to sort through the pics) Stuart's parents got to share in the ONLY day Calgary has been over 30 & even better - got to witness Sam crawling for the first time! Then we went to Lady Gaga in Edmonton (Sam had a sleepover at grandma's) & home to watch the riders lose. :(
