it's not teeth....

This weekend I thought that Sam must be getting his molars (he has all his other teeth) because he had a bad fever, was kinda whiney, didn't want to eat, and the biggest sign of all - he was cuddly! He also has a bad rash around his mouth but I thought that might just be from drooling from teething. But when we dropped him off at daycare this morning we discovered it is Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand,_foot_and_mouth_disease

Good news is that its a common viral infection and we just have to let it run its course.... but I feel bad for the poor guy. Tonight I thought he should have ice cream since one of the symptoms is a sore throat - it sure put him in a good mood :)

It's raining, it's pouring...

we had record rain in Calgary last week - but that didn't stop the boys from heading outside for a walk! Sam looks so adorable in his raincoat from Baba & Grandpa

ps....don't forget to vote for Sam every day from all your computers & phones! He is working on getting those back molars at only 16months (poor guy is having a hard time....these ones HURT!) and I am sure we will need that orthodontic package :)

16 months today...

...and he's a little monkey that likes to climb on everything! Saturday morning I was eating breakfast at the counter and I look over at Sam - he has taken the bumbo chair from under a chest we have, and is trying to stand on it to reach on top of the chest. that was a non-camera moment and more of a jump-up-and-rescue-Sam-moment! But last night he grabbed our step stool, brought it out to the main area, climbed on top and started dancing on it. so dad decided to make a game out of it and let Sam jump on top of him :)

PJ day

they had PJ day at daycare today so Sam got to wear his super-hero PJ's. I want a PJ day at work! :)

it's finally starting to be spring in Calgary and we got some warm weather! So we trekked over to grandma & grandpa's on the weekend to play in their yard

Sam made me toast in bed ... oh wait, I got up with him at 7am and made him toast and he gave me big smiles! :)

Sam's weekend

first weekend home from Hawaii and it was a fun one - there's always an adventure with Sam!
