Sam is enjoying daycare ... every time I check the webcam he is having lots of fun. He gets a daily report that tells us everything he eats, drinks, naps, diapers, and what he did that day - he always has busy days and we can tell because he is sooo worn out by bed time! We definitely enjoy our after-work play time too ... here are a few pics from tonight.

Back to work

Mom's maternity leave is over and she is back to work! BOO. But Sam went for half day at daycare on Tuesday and LOVED it. Today he wasn't quite as happy - he's figuring out that when we drop him off, we are leaving. When I picked him up today, he was soooo clingy and cried a storm when I put him down to get his coat. But I hear that it will take a few days for him to adjust.

We will still keep the blog up to date but there definitely won't be as many updates.

Happy New Year

we are home from Saint Lucia! We had a wonderful time....the weather was perfect, St. Lucia is beautiful and the people were wonderful. There was a little hiccup in the middle of the trip though ... poor Sam had to be hospitalized for two days due to a lower respiratory infection. That is one hard thing for a new parent to experience and mom shed just a few tears! But the staff at the hospital were amazing and Sam had great care. We were fortunate enough to get a private room too so both Stuart & I could stay and we took shifts sleeping with Sam. Once Sam got out of the hospital, he was still recovering for a few days so we just kept it low key at the resort for the rest of the trip. But we are looking forward to returning one day and exploring more of the island.
