Stroller Fitness
I have signed up for a stroller fitness class with Sam. I love it (although can barely move today) - the teacher is very nice and the other moms are very nice too. And it is nice being in a class where you really don't have to worry if your kid is going to freak out or not.

12 weeks old!
the weather has been so beautiful and we have been taking every advantage of it
Saturday we decided to take Sam for his first hike. he's not a huge fan of the bjorn, but once he realized that he could suck on it, he was content. The bjorn was soaked by the time we were done the hike!

Jumparoo...
I bought Sam a jumparoo (thanks Auntie Twyla for bring it back from the US for us!)...he is too young for it, but he is going to get lots of fun out of it as he gets older
...his arms are too short to reach the toys too! poor guy
Okay mom, I'm over-stimulated...please take me out.

The Jumparoo is really for kids about 4-5 months so I'm about 2 months early, hence why it doesn't quite fit (he's not really that short, haha). I put some books under his feet so he could jump but he still hasn't quite figured out jumping. It's funny too because every time it moves, it plays music and lights up but Sam can't figure out the connection. But I don't think it's going to take him long to figure it out - he's a smart cookie! And I'm excited because it's going to be perfect for summer: I'll be in the lounge chair outside and Sam will be in the jumparoo! And of course we'll both be in the shade protecting our fair-skinned red-hair complexion. :)

Easter Pics
We went to Saskatoon for Easter and a wedding in PA. I was nervous as could be about the airplane trip but Sam was perfect both ways - not a peep and lots of smiles for the airline attendees. And the good part: you get your own lineup at security if you have a baby! the bad part: you have a LOT of stuff so you need your own lineup. :) Gone are the days of carry-on only, haha!

We flew to Saskatoon Friday...drove to my friend Melanie's wedding in PA on Saturday, stayed overnight in PA...and drove back to Saskatoon and flew home Sunday. Stuart's parents came with us to PA to babysit Sam while we went to the wedding - he was perfect for them! We took him to the wedding for about an hour to introduce him to some people and sure enough, he cried as soon as it was food time - he was much happier with baba & grandpa.
It was a whirlwind trip but Sam had a great time and so did his Baba & Grandpa Main.
Arriving in Saskatoon.
Hi Baba & Grandpa (you can kinda see the side of his face and his big smile)
The last morning at the hotel...we could hear him talking so we went over and he was just all smiles and chatter! obviously had a great sleep

Happy Easter!
We are off for Sam's first airplane trip to SK this weekend!
I am nervous for my fellow airline passengers and for me...I will now be that person that everyone looks at and thinks "OMG, don't let her be sitting by me!!" :) (I've seen the look a few times when we walk into restaurants) Hopefully Sam will be good and enjoy air travel as much as he enjoys car & foot travel. But to be safe, when I checked in this morning, I chose the seats at the back of the plane, hoping that we disturb less passengers. hehe
And the amount of stuff to take for baby - YI YI. gone are the days of carry on only for a weekend and packing 10 minutes before you are leaving the house. Fingers crossed that I remembered everything.
Happy Easter everyone!
