Sam's first outfit

I bought Sam a new outfit yesterday so he could have something other than a sleeper to wear to his first birthday party (are you proud of me mom and aunts??!). it's still kinda big even though it's 0-3 months.

his shirt says "born 2 ride" with a bike on it ... how perfect for us!!!

BUT...his face says he prefers sleepers!

New outfits

I have been getting a lot of flak because Sam has been wearing the same sleepers in all his pics. he got some new sleepers from his buddy Noah so here are some new pics!

Looking at the toys in his swing....he definitely showed his love for this sleeper by spitting up all over it. :)

SOOO mad! luckily we don't see this face too often

BIG YAWN

Main Family

Sam finally got to meet his very proud Grandpa & Baba Main! They were here Feb 4th - it was a long wait for them. :) Of course he loved them and loved all the attention he got when they were here...he is going through withdrawal now and has changed his sleep habits from 4 hour increments at night to 2 hour increments. Hopefully they are coming back soon!!

Meeting Grandpa & Baba Main for the first time:

Lots of pictures of Sam, he is getting used to the flash!

Sam's first football game

Superbowl Sunday, Sam's first football game... I know it's NFL, but that's just semantics. Sam's allegiances are already pledged!

Three generations watching football

2 weeks old

Sam was 2 weeks old on Saturday and his weight is up to 8lb 3oz. Really hard to believe - he is changing so much but he is such a happy baby...AND SUPER-CUTE!! (what can I say, I'm a proud mommy)

Sam meets his great-grandparents

We have had a really busy week so far...Tuesday we went to Grandma's for lunch and hung out at her house for a couple hours. Wednesday we went and met Sam's great-grandma & great-grandpa. I didn't get a picture with great-grandpa :( We will have to get one next time we go visit!

Tomorrow we are going to hang out at home and rest up (well, mom is hoping to rest - Sam is well fed & rested!) because Grandpa & Grandma (Baba) Main are coming to visit for a few days!! we're pretty excited for Sam to meet them. There of course is an added bonus since they warned us they have a suitcase full of prepared food....a very valuable commodity these days! haha.

Dad goes back to work

We had lots of visitors this weekend....I am clearly a proud first time parent because I must admit that I just love showing him off. And luckily he has been very good so it's easy to have company. We had lots of friends (if you're one of them and reading this, thanks for coming - we loved visiting with you!!) and best of all: Sam got to meet his Auntie Carolyn & Uncle Devin and he loved them! but little monster was soooooo sleepy when they were here, so we were sure it was going to be yet another long night. But, they were magic! We put Sam to bed around 10:30 and he lasted about 15 minutes....groan. So, then I held him and he slept with me for an hour until I put him back in his crib around midnight. Next time he woke up: 4am!! OH YEA, I got 4 hours of sleep! whoot whoo. :)

But today was a big day (for mom) because dad went back to work today :( Mom sure missed him - Sam was fine because we kept his day pretty full and dad doesn't have the goods to keep him happy anyway! This morning was eating & awake time. This afternoon grandma came over and took care of Sam for a couple of hours while he slept and mom got dressed, did some tidying & went for groceries. Then the 3 of us went for a walk for an hour - Sam loves his stroller and was not even phased by the off-roading in all the snow. Then grandpa came over and rocked Sam for a few minutes before feeding time. Sam ate (again) and dad was home at 4 before we knew it! So, we managed...but thank goodness my mom came over, otherwise I would not have gotten anything done today and the break and company during the walk were fantastic.

Here's some pics from today:
